@LarsThiessen I feel your pain. You have to either middle drag or right click drag to slide the viewport options into the visible area. I can't remember which of the two buttons it is offhand but I also got bit by that today.

I am mentally checked out of mainstream tech now. Most of what I see there appalls me. People seem fine with handing control over to a tiny handful of large companies and de-skilling everyone else so they can’t function without a rented stochastic parrot on their shoulder. I got into programming because it made me feel like I had control over something, agency & independence. Every indicator points away from that now. I should totally be using some extremely niche Linux distro

Meta have been asking some users to confirm their identity with a 'video selfie', & for supposed account recovery. Soon, more users will be asked with threat of blocking or deleting their account as Meta prepares to launch their facial recog glasses (soon on shelves).

But it's not just about feeding their new product. Meta are harvesting biometric data on a vast scale, perhaps globally, & in full cohort with a dangerous regime.

When I think of the unreal engine and other engines trying to hit 60fps on 4k the phrase that immediately comes to mind is "temporal Vaseline"

So I've now spent about 40-50 hours with Godot and I have to say I came in with somewhat high expectations and it still blew me away. The default way or interprets .blend files is so well done.

I've not gotten stuck once. Maybe as I get deeper my enthusiasm will wane but as of right now I love this engine.

@bitinn ah yeah. That is the one thing when you start customizing the engine. Doing something seemingly benign that triggers some shaders to rebuild.

Now THAT I've seen too many times to count.
