My entry for #genuary01. Better late than never. 😅
I just spent way too long optimizing the newly added bee swarm. Totally worth it though! The swarm now chases the player much more aggressively, even during jumps. And because I’m a nice person, I also added a short warning right before the bees attack.

Working on some explosions in godot. What should I do next?
Got usable objects in my first person character controller refactor. In The Warrens, the HUD was a child node of the player since the two systems needed to share so much information. That didn't cause any real problems but always felt a little odd to me. So I've separated the HUD and the player. The player now uses a global group to notify the HUD, or any other systems in the group, that a usable object is in front of the player. So the HUD can change the crosshair into a use icon. #godotengine
Monkey Swing, my prototype of a platformer where you play as a monkey, is playable RIGHT NOW !!! Swing from branches to branches, climb up and collect bananas !
