Technically working on Robot Shooter but it's a little diversion.
Getting back into it, converting some objects to rigid bodies so they can make a mess on the floor!
Trying out textures and rooms can be dynamically added but I need to crack open blender for both to operate better.
My Godot plugin 'create actor' (terrible name, I know), now has support for dragging+dropping @export var nodes into your script.
Hold CTRL-SHIFT when dropping to trigger this functionality.
The related scene file will have the new field filled in automatically with the node you were dragging.
hopefully it'll be a playable and fun game eventually XD
btw these guys are called Figlaves!
I was supposed to participate to the Godot Wild Jam 81 but I couldn't get something working by the deadline!
So this was supposed to be a silly stealth/pirate game where you steal valuable from villages to furnish your base in a archipelago.

I question my intelligence sometimes. I have spent the last week debugging why my navmesh tests were giving me such weird/mixed results.
It turns out, you can't have your navmesh occupy the same space as your collider. It makes sense in retrospect, but it wasn't super intuitive. I was making a mesh in blender, paint selecting my walkable faces, duplicating the faces to a new object and adding `-navmesh` and my agents would sometimes navigate, sometimes not, and sometimes vibrate in place.
New workflow, once I make my nav faces, I need to move them UP slightly (like 0.01 units) so they don't overlap the collider. :blobfacepalm:
This is Star Spark, a shonen inspired turn-based fighting game where fighters from all over the universe compete in a roguelite survival tournament.
This week I finished up equipable skills and made the powered up state look more powered up.
Spending a few weeks on placeholder art and polish really bears its fruit! Bibidi Bibidi! looks like a real game now, we might even launch a steam page soon owhowwoowooooow
