I've been working with someone these past few months on a plan to leave domestic violence. This plan had to be constructed very carefully and I think... just maybe... we might have pulled it off. We will know in a few hours.

The one thing I am grateful for about my DV experience is that I learned what not to do and how to make a safety plan and now I'm using that knowledge to save others.

The silver lining indeed.

- couldn't afford Christmas gifts,
- didn't have the executive function to shop and participate,
- felt crushed by the dissonance between the professed beliefs of Christianity and the rabid consumerism of the season.
