The problem is not which sector of the electorate is the focus; it's that there needs to be a strong POSITIVE appeal — NOT just "I'm not #Trump." The Democratic Party needs to kick the billionaire habit, and embrace the spirit of FDR: "I welcome their hatred." Full cancellation of ALL student debt, #MedicareForAll, etc. And make it crystal clear that the cost is to be paid 100% by billionaires, with NOTHING taken from anyone else, including the "affluent" who aren't billionaires. No technocratic means-testing bullshit, no playing off one economic stratum against another — EXCEPT billionaires vs. everyone else. The Dems might be surprised how many supposedly staunch right-wingers could get behind such a program — IN ADDITION to energizing the Democratic base.

Trump isn't interested in selling arms to anyone. Nor buying oil. True he can leverage American export controls to get some profit. But as you said. He tried that last time and wasn't very successful. I'm not saying there is not profit for him in supporting ukraine. I am saying it is much less than what he can realize supporting Russia, and a lot more work.
And yes, Ukraine has allies, which is exactly what will make backroom deals with Trump very difficult.

Backroom development deals without competition for Ukrainian land isn't more valuable?
Taking a portion of unfrozen Russian assets isn't more valuable?
If Zelenskyy were to prevail there will be a huge expectation to do everything above board. That expectation does not exist with russia, and helping russia win is much easier than helping Ukraine win. He literally only has to do nothing, and the rewards are much higher.
Sadly Ukraine is toast after January.
You obviously have not made the paradigm shift yet. You are still thinking that politicians negotiate on behalf of the people they represent. It's not about what "Putin could give the US" it is about what Putin could give TRUMP! Think real estate deals in newly acquired Ukraine territory, or other business ventures, and kompromat on other adversaries, etc.
I don't think he cares. He leveraged Zelenskyy in 2019 because he wanted to win an election. He has won the election. Now expect him to leverage Putin. What will Putin give Trump in return for USA walking away from Ukraine?

I'm mostly just taking issue with your assertion that Biden has done anything to resist Netanyahu. He hasn't. He has rolled over at every opportunity. Where Israel is concerned he is not any better than Trump at all. And where Ukraine is concerned he is arguably worse because at least Trump will end the war. Albeit on Russia's terms by denying Ukraine weapons. Biden will allow the war to continue endlessly, cost lives, and will ultimately end on Russia's terms anyway because he is purposely limiting how they can fight.
Everywhere else. Sure Biden's foreign relations are a magnitude better than Trump.

#democrats have always disavowed their progressive left wing. That is part of the problem. Republicans are afraid of their #MAGA wing and that got them elected. Perhaps if the Democrats actually embraced some of the change the progressives are advocating they would do better too. People want change. The #GOP were offering it. Democrats not so much.

Fell flat with voters, when #Trump's promise to, "Do many things about many things - a great many things about so very many things," seemed to go down well with voters.
Some #voters said that Kamala was promising more than she could realistically deliver.

True. But I don't think it is as close as we need. There are still many trade restrictions on food automotive, and many other industries. Also, to be in their schengen region would give fabulous flexibilities and opportunities to people on both sides of the atlantic.
5. Quickly reduce our trade dependence on the US by joining the EU Free Trade area. If Iceland can do it, so can we.
