There is something very satisfying about a post-Metal band covering Tears for Fears #Music
Found something remarkable (and also quite sad).
In 1997, Wired published "The Long Boom", a hyper-optimistic article about how we'd achieve Utopia by 2020.
The authors included notes on some "scenario spoilers"—negative events that might send is in a worse direction.
...and those spoilers turned out to be almost spookily accurate.
I think I need to move to a new instance, anything out there for endurance sports (#running, #trailrunning, #cycling ), fancy #Beer , and #music ?
@AnneTheWriter1 @beecycling Not the first time, check the names of the Rocinante drones
The season finale of Yellowjackets was some bullshit
@Patuleia get the record, at best it becomes decorative and worst case people can listen to it on a phonograph after the apocalypse
The hill repeat workout on the schedule sounded awful so I did 7 miles alone while the rest of the group crushed it
@Mtn_Fox Utah is much smarter about this sort of thing and has a variety of races that bus you to the top and let you run downhill
@HollyCo26588808 the craziest thing about the race is that second place also beat the previous course record.
My workout partner wasn’t into it this morning. 7 mile run around the neighborhood, 30 minute upper body class, and 10 minutes of core.
@carnage4life I work for a nonprofit whose mission I fully support and I never mention them on my personal social media.
Watching Season 4 of Fringe at the same time as Secret Invasion is fun
if you’re an orca still in line to sink a large ship, STAY IN LINE
@threeio Starts at the base of Loveland ski area and ends in Idaho Springs. Lot of elevation loss but being over 10,000’ for the first few miles can be rough if you aren’t used to it.
Last night around 6pm I was looking up pre-race information for my half and started seeing “there is something going on in Russia”. This morning as I was eating my yogurt it was “Wagner mercenaries have taken over cities and are marching on Moscow”. When I got home from my half it was “It’s all over, they have a peace agreement”. That had to be the fastest insurrection-reconciliation ever, did the news channels even cover it?
Slacker Half Marathon. There is a significant amount of downhill on this course but this is still waaay faster than I expected #Running
