@juliew2010 I take multiple tablets twice a day, if I didn't have phone reminders I would forget for certain!
I'm a retired Australian soldier (WO2) and security officer. I have a BA in history and literature done part time as a mature age student at ACU. I'm a stroke and heart attack survivor. I'm a fountain pen and watercolour Plein Air sketcher, prior to the stroke I was a motorcyclist and cyclist and am now a recumbent trike rider. I ride a greenspeed gt20 E-trike around hilly Toowoomba.

@juliew2010 put a daily alarm on your phone
@kinetix luckily it's not frequent. I bought the trike in 2016 and have had one rear flat and four front ones, all on the left - the gutter side.
Tuesday's trike ride had a short interlude as I fixed a flat tyre.
As I came to the lights outside the Southern hotel the left front tyre went down. I dragged the trike onto the grass, got my tools out, and tipped the trike on its side.
The left front tyre is the one that takes a beating and gets the most punctures. The good thing about a trike is a front tyre puncture can be fixed without removing the wheel.
I don't know what punctured the tube, I visually examined the tyre and felt around the inside and outside and could find nothing.
As I worked I had three different blokes walk by and ask if I needed help.
I fitted the spare tube and pumped it up and was on my way.
Today I rode out to the FarmFest site at Kingsthorpe for the last day of 19th National Historic Machinery Rally. The weather was fine but windy.
I rode west from Toowoomba on the Cecil Plains road. I was supposed to turn onto Brimblecombe Rd, but missed the sign and kept riding on. When I realised that I'd gone too far I checked my map app and decided to turn off at Biddeston and loop around until I reached the highway.
I pedalled along until I came to an intersection where a man on an adventure motorbike waited for me to pass by. I stopped for a chat and he told my if I turned there, and took the first left after the road turned to gravel, it would end at Brimblecombe Rd. So that's what I did.
I arrived at the FarmFest site at one. The ticket office had closed, so if I hadn't bought a ticket on line I could have got in for free!
For the next couple of hours I rode around the site looking at the wide variety of equipment on display. Steam traction engines, steam rollers, a steam truck, vintage trucks including one with caterpillar tracks at the back. There was also a display of miniature steam engines, and there were some vintage cars.
I stopped to sketch a Rumley OilPull,
oil cooled, kerosene fuelled, tractor.
At three I rode home via Brimblecombe Rd and the Cecil Plains Rd. The ride was 76.5 km all up.
On Sunday I drove to Esk for a ride on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail with TRBUG.
The weather was overcast but not cold. Some parts of the trail were wet and I ended up being peppered with muddy spots.
The ride was very bumpy in places. It went well until 10 km before Esk when my left front wheel started oscillating madly. I quickly braked to a stop.
The bolt that connects the tie rod end to the hub had disappeared.
After a bit of discussion on how to connect it up so I could ride back to my car, an Allen key was suggested. So that's what I used.
I now need to find a replacement bolt.
@voltagex yes, Richard Chamberlain was really good!
This morning I went for a ride over to the Toowoomba airport to attend the David Hack Classic.
The weather was good and there was lots to see. I slowly pedalled around checking out the classic and vintage cars, and aircraft.
I sketched the replica Spitfire and part of a Ford woody and caravan.
@waterfeature thanks
This morning's trike ride followed my usual route until I detoured to the eastville shops. I bought a capaccino then rode back up to Picnic Point. I parked the trike on the grass and did another sketch of the water tower.

Chinese social media content trolls the US policy of reindustrialisation.
Life drawing at Toowoomba Art Society on Monday night. A new Sailor Fude fountain pen with non-waterproof ink and waterbrush.
A vintage racing car was parked on the street up from my home. I walked up with my sketching kit and a camp stool. I sat on my side of the street in the shade of a hedge to sketch.
The car, a Maxwell, had a Wade supercharger with two carburetors in front of the radiator. It wasn't connected but only strapped in place
@MarkDeasy @Jakra sounds reasonable
@Jakra @MarkDeasy I reckon our Liberal party is equivalent to the Republicans. Our Labor, which once upon a time was left wing, is now centrist and equivalent to the Democrats
One Nation, Trumpet of Patriots, et al, are full blown MAGA
@keira_reckons if he'd said "big stinker" I would have been forced to agree with him!
Just because the rest of you have given up on this old sci fi aesthetic, doesn't mean I have to. I need it into my veins through intravenous drip please.
