- we were put in institutions.
- we were forcibly medically castrated.
- we were tortured with electric shocks.
- we were lobotomized.
- we were hunted down and killed.
- our murderers claimed "panic" and were set free.
- many of us chose the "easy way out" instead.
Helping trans people exist is good, actually.
For decades, First Nations people in British Columbia knew their ancestral homes—villages forcibly emptied in the late 1800s—were great places to forage for traditional foods like hazelnuts, crabapples, cranberries, and hawthorn. A new study reveals that isolated patches of fruit trees and berry bushes in the region's hemlock and cedar forests were deliberately planted by Indigenous peoples in and around their settlements more than 150 years ago.

@Mayabotics and there has been a big ugly fight within the queer pride committee I am in. Apparently the Pride Committee of another town stole our funds ( and fund a picnic of their own in their town). Now we have no funds for our next project ( i need funds to make some booklets on queer rights and have them distributed in schools and colleges in our town)
@Mayabotics in other news, some of my students ( 2 boys) shared WhatsApp updates celebrating the centenary anniversary of an extreme right wing organisation ( they preach genocide against Muslims and hate queer folks) 2 weeks ago. My ex bf was associated with it. And i m feeling traumatised and wishing how to speak to them and also wanting to secretly whack their heads hard with a tool
