#Introduction: Iām a #medical #doctor and a #psychotherapist. And beneath my job, I like #photography (you can see some of my own pictures here on my timeline), #biking, sculpturing with #clay. I have 2 #cats (Dido & Aeneas), a little #hamster Fluffy and some #fishes in a tank. Also, I can really appreciate some #humor in my life.
And Iām a fighter for #HumanRights.
Iāll post in #English and in #Dutch. My mothertongue is Dutch, so sometimes, I can misunderstand something written in English.

I like Vanity Fair's headline:
"Donald Trump Pleads Not Guilty to Trying to Overturn the Election, Despite Us All Witnessing Him Trying to Overturn the Election"

Now she died, itās becoming clear that SinĆ©ad paid frequently medical bills for people who couldnāt afford it. ā¤ļøāš©¹

"Colm O'Gorman, executive director of Amnesty International Ireland, said: 'It is hard to think of an artist who has had the social and cultural impact of Sinead. What a loss. Heartfelt condolences to her children, her family and all who loved her.'"

@robmacca Yes... Her wonderful talent, her magnificent voice and looks... And her never-ending fight against injustice...
Such a loss for me, us, the society, the world... š
@Nickiquote
Thanks, Nick, for sharing⦠Such important words of SinĆ©ad that are so trueā¦
The Irish Times has reprinted the poem #SinƩadOConnor wrote and took out a full page ad for on 10 June 1993, after she failed to show up for a concert in Dublin.
It's about grief and trauma and speaks in the language of Recovery. She asks for understanding, and for people to stop hurting her.
She deserved that.
I was there, in Leuven (Belgium) on January 2020 for a live performance of SinĆ©ad OāConnor. Iāll never forget⦠I was so impressed by the way she sang, full of vividly emotions⦠But also, about her shyness I saw between the songsā¦
And I filmed her performance of āNothing Compares U2ā.
This song of SinĆ©ad OāConner touched me so much, during her live performance in Leuven (Belgium) in 2020. I was there and I hoped so much to see her back, in the future. In me eyes, sheās the most important artist we had in my lifetimeā¦

Ik ben er het hart van in⦠š Luister misschien ook eens naar āQueen of Denmarkā⦠Ze zingt het vol overgave⦠Prachtige song ook, waar ik kippenvel van kreeg, tijdens een optreden van haarā¦

Jane Bownās beautifully cheeky portrait of SinĆ©ad OāConnor, 1966-2023.
Letās remember the art and honesty she brought into this troubled world.
@chargrille Iām so sad sheās not with us anymore⦠Itās so painful to think about the pain she must have felt before she died (as Iām almost sure we almost all know the reason of her death). At the same time Iām angry too⦠For the injustice she experienced during her life, only because she was honest and because she had chosen to speak for the people who had no voiceā¦
Iām devastated⦠š
Thank you for being with us⦠Thank you for singing to us⦠Thank you for being with the people who needed it⦠Thank you for defending the people that were the victim of trauma⦠š¢
@lmgenealogy @VPS_Reports
Sorry for my absence⦠š And thanks for your explanation. I knew that there was something wrong in Canada, during those days, but I didnāt exactly know it had to do with those neonazis, again⦠š
We need more #activism, nowadaysā¦
Activism against #racism, against the #pollution of the world, against #islamophobia, against #homophobia (LGBTQI), against #neonazis who donāt accept that people are different than them and want to install a #dictatorship and #hate, against producers of #alternativeFacts (like the Covid deniers),ā¦
And we need to #protect those people dare to speak against all those #haters, who dare to speak out the real facts, like Greta #Thunberg
