@creative #ds106 #tdc4912 Pictures at an Exhibition (piano/cello): The Piano Guys Puppets
The artists created a modern rendition of Modest Mussorgsky's Promenade from "Pictures at an Exhibition" & puppet show. Are the puppeteers the instructors? The puppets the learners? Or are the real cellist and pianist guiding the learning? What might the puppets be thinking, imagining, and learning? Are the puppets, puppeteers, cellist, and pianist enjoying the journey?

@creating An interesting, beautiful… door knob

People sharing ideas often overlook the "doorknob"—a simple hook like an analogy—as a gateway to understanding. We should use relatable examples, define our terms, connect to what others already know, and create an inviting entry point. To communicate well, we should try to make our ideas accessible and engaging.

Book cover for “Salt and Honey” by Delia Owens
AI-generated book description: After the success of “Where the Crawdads Sing,” Owens returns with another atmospheric novel that blends science with a coming-of-age narrative. This time, the novel is set in the salt flats of Utah.

@tdc #tdc4542 My response for today's #ds106 #DailyCreate is a picture taken in late afternoon of the sun reflecting on the River Rhine.

The late afternoon sun is shining through hazy clouds and reflecting on the Rhine River. The cathedral in Cologne is also in the background.

I saw this old phone in a museum, and it reminded me of the rotary phones from my childhood.

@tdc #tdc4524 My response for today's #ds106 #DailyCreate is two friends--a loquacious young frog and a taciturn older critter--decide to go on an adventure together:

Young friend: Stop, old friend! Come join me for an adventure!! . . . And we're off! . . . Wait, old friend . . . turn around! You're going the wrong way!

Old friend: Young friend, adventure awaits us in every direction.

The photo shows 4 scenes of two small animals. In the first one, a frog has its front foot wrapped around another creature's horn (or nose). Then, the frog's mouth is wide open, and the frog is sitting on the other creature's back. Next, the creature is about to step away with the frog still on its back. Finally, the creature actually steps away with the frog still on its back.

@tdc #tdc4523 My response for today's #ds106 #DailyCreate is a (bad) pun:

This is what happens when Alex, your alligator pal, watches too many crime shows:
Alex the Alligator: So, what do you call an alligator in a vest?
You: I don't know. I give up.
Alex the Alligator: An investigator.

The image shows the side view of an alligator talking to someone.

@tdc #tdc4522 My response for today's #ds106 #DailyCreate is pp. 221-222 in The Romulan Way by Diane Duane & Peter Morwood.

It's looking grim for Dr. McCoy as he's on trial in the Romulan Empire, but luckily, one of his crewmates, Lieutenant Naraht, a member of a rock-eating species called the Horta, has arrived in the nick of time . . .
