@pixelpusher220

My husband sent an email to the Superintendent last night and cc'ed all seven Board Members.

Only four sentences. The school is having issues complying with an agreement made in February 2025 and memorialized in a Parent Addendum to the IEP. We are concerned that the school is going to be unable or unwilling to comply with the Settlement Agreement approved by the Board in April 2025. Not sure how you want to proceed. Let us know.

Settlements for two more cases go before the Board in Closed Session on Thursday. Another case settled in the last few days. Should be presented to the Board in June. A fourth is set to go to hearing on May 19. I expect that settlement will also be presented to the Board in June.

IEP Drama:

Our son was forced to go to the teacher's classroom. And I am done.

I told the principal that a normal teacher would decline to have anything to do with this child. There is something wrong with the teacher, and I will be calling CPS if the teacher comes near my child again.

Last night, he disclosed that he cried the whole time he was in the room.

Getting the Voice of America back online will be no small task.

“Bringing VOA out of a deep coma will require substantial time and a Herculean effort of our nearly 50 language services to try to reach some of our pre-shutdown total audience of 340 million,” VOA chief national correspondent Steve Herman told CNN.

Herman pointed out that VOA readers and listeners were never “given an explanation of why we were silenced.” cnn.com/2025/05/03/media/voice #WPFD2025 #SaveVOA

My dad taught me to turn off my car’s headlight when it shines into someone’s eyes at night, like when I’m parking into a spot that looks into a restaurant window.

Today, about one in five #cars around me drives with their high beams on constantly at night.

Oh, I know how to do it up on the weekend.

I know we all say this in one way or another every day we even dare peek into our public ever-churning kaleidoscope of atrocity, but every last feral fucking joy-hating death-worshipping botched abortion of a person who helped make this happen should see locusts and aphids eat everything they attempt to grow and watch sinkholes consume their homes and experience everyone who ever loved them shunning them until they cough up some unidentified alien black vomit and die dessicated and alone, leaving the world to draw a healing clean breath for their passing from it.

@TonyStark

My allergy meds may be impacting my ability to adequately draft my thoughts.

I was disappointed that immediately after 2020, there wasn't more of a push for reforms that would prevent or mitigate the return of MAGA to the White House in 2024.

I say MAGA rather than Trump because it was uncertain that it was going to be Trump running in 2024. It may have been someone like DeSantis or Hawley.

Mitigating the damage they may do, however, also mitigates the threat. And a lot of the 2024 strategy was based on an anti-Trump vote.

I have nothing to back this up. I do wish though that Democrats passed more reform measures, including trading stocks.

I listened to our audio recording of our most recent IEP meeting. It appears that the pacing and rehearsing paid off, as did having a script prepared for our opening concerns.

Our next meeting is May 19, and I'm feeling good about it. Pretty sure it will be a shit show, but I think we will be able to make our points and support our position.

#SouthernRightWhale #population growth has stalled, scientists say, with a possible 'onset of a decline'.

Australia's southern right whale population growth has #stalled, raising questions about the recovery of a species that was nearly driven to #extinction by historical #whaling, according to a new study.

Even though there is a university affiliated hospital 11 miles away, this hospital was a pet project of Gov DeWine who pushed through tens of millions of dollars for it in 2022.

If Democrats do get back into federal office, give them time and space to fix what’s been broken. Stop the cycle of destructive impatience.

It’s going to take more than 4 years to rebuild and repair damage from these last 100 days alone.

Tune out the media and their distractions and the extremists and their promises of revolution and quick fixes.

Nothing will be getting fixed quickly. Rebuilding foreign alliances and destroyed agencies like The Forest Service alone will take generations.
