So the point was never that fossil fuels or nuclear were in any way *better*. Renewables are now cheaper than both - by far, if you include environmental costs. And the cost for renewable energy continues to drop.
So the ruling class is killing off the planet WHY, exactly? For short-term loss? I don't think so. No, I think killing off the human race was the intention all along.

Bellingen's 'vanishing' biodiversity
The 'upgrade' of Gleniffer Road and and Roses Rd. encourages motorists to drive as fast and careless as possible. Road signage is knocked down as no road is ever wide enough.
Biodiversity has to live in this fragmented space with speeding combustion boxes. All year around there are dead beings on the road that drivers kill and mush up.
Here are the latest killings in just a few days:
A large beautiful python on the middle of Roses Rd cut in half with one half missing
A freshwater turtle smeared along the road.
A stunning bright Green Tree Snake killed and tied into a knot.
Many birds along the roadside, crippled and enduring a slow death
No one counts the carnage.

Those big ancient trees are the matriarchs and elders of the forest. They are nearly eradicated in BC now.
"Rachel Holt, an independent ecologist who has advised the British Columbia government, said it is "very disturbing to see example after example" of forests with the oldest, biggest trees continue to be logged, especially those identified as containing the most at-risk and irreplaceable old-growth left in the province.
"This is off the charts, globally rare stuff," Holt said.
"We've lost sight of that in British Columbia. We've never had sight of that, and that's what needs to change."
