“Research has shown repeatedly that gender diversity on boards is linked to higher profits, so the determination to exclude women is purely emotional, which is a cute irony, given that it’s supposed to be women who mess everything up by being too emotional.”

Things I learn - Volkswagen produce and sell currywurst.

Via the March 13 The Knowledge newsletter - theknowledge.com/p/donald-trum

Extract from The Knowledge newsletter reading “Volkswagen sold more sausages than cars last year, says Cantillon in The Irish Times. The German carmaker started producing its own currywurst – sausages topped with ketchup and curry powder and served with chips – in 1973, and after the dish proved popular in its staff canteens, they began hawking the sausages to other companies and supermarkets. Last year it flogged a record 8.5 million currywurst “units”, compared to a measly 5.2 million vehicles. Guten Appetit!”

This was a great thing to do even if it did mean getting up at stupid o’clock and losing the feeling in my fingers

I had the afternoon off, so I went on a #running adventure. I took the train to Portslade and ran back home, collecting 24 #squadrathinos along the way. I’ve taken a bus and run back before, but never the train. Somehow, that made it feel like even more of an adventure.

Screenshot from Squadrats showing 24 new squadrathinos and a 13 increase in my yardhino score as well

Sweet little birthday hack:

Every year passing gets much more interesting if you take the age you are… & devote your year to discovering more about the country with that number’s dialling code.

It’s led me to discover lots of new books, music, movies, scientists, places, history, cultures, nature etc - and travel.

It’s like an Easter Egg that gives curiosity a focus that year.

Someone asked Grok, Twitter's built-in AI, who was the person most responsible for spreading misinformation on the platform...

“Based on various analyses, social media sentiment, and reports, Elon Musk has been identified as one of the most significant spreaders of misinformation on X since he acquired the platform,” Grok replied.
