@kb9ens I like trying to vary my learning routine. I think it’s good to not be too comfortable in one presentation so this is good.
Currently I’m okay head copying 3-4 letter words at 20wpm, but this is recent progress. Need to keep pushing.
Purchased a built-from-kit QRP labs QMX from another ham. Wired up a little 12v buck regulator in a power cable and powered up—receive for phone seems good on 20m and 40m. Pretty excited to operate remote!
Going to the local library to print a microphone case and a stand; thinking an Emtech tuner is a good place to start kit building.
Thoughts on a set of paddles for learning and outdoor ops?

Edit for spelling.

@kb9ens this is new to me—thanks for sharing! I managed to copy at 30wpm which sort of amazed me. Maybe I need to push my Farnsworth speed up on Morse Mania. I felt as if I heard the rhythm better at a higher rate.
Seriously, y’all: post your fuckups! May everyones’ mirror neurons feast upon tales our resilience.
My go: I’ve been trying to make a Yagi for Meshtastic because stock antenna, house construction, and geography.
I started with a W6NBC Yagi, but burnt hours trying to make a hairpin match work. The antenna was always better for 1050Hz than 915Hz.
It was only while griping later I realised I forgot to measure and tune the half-wave dipole before I added the reflector and directors. #HamRadio

I'm sorry, I just watched Switch Angel live-coding trance loops in G-minor using Strudel, so serious and magnificent is the only valid answer for me right now!
This guy made a Synthetic Aperture Radar (i.e. a radar that gives you camera-like pictures) mounted on a drone. Scroll to the bottom for actual sample pictures and a movie. Lots of tech detail and open-source designs and software.

Drumtroddan Standing Stones, near Monreith. A row of possibly once four or five stones, aligned north east/south west. Two of the stones now lay fallen, with just a single stone, the eastern-most still standing.

Elizabeth and I are off to explore a part of town (metro Cleveland, Ohio) that is unfamiliar to us—we moved here two years ago. Then a nice hike with our adventure Pomeranian, Neville:
