‘We now have confirmation that the animated series Star Trek: Prodigy will return this year, making 2023 another big year for original Star Trek on Paramount+. It is expected that the second season of Prodigy will also be broken into 10-episode volumes, so the second half of the season is likely to debut in 2024.’

@OnlyTheJaneway It is amongst the best of Star Trek. Usually when animation is used, stories, characters, and plots become silly because in animation, anything is possible, and it becomes too easy for writers. BUT, Prodigy is serious Star Trek. It is real Star Trek science fiction with a real Star Trek theme. The characters and story flow together. It's believable.

And, I love the focus on Captain Janeway. I'm not saying this because Kate Mulgrew is asking. Voyager was my favorite series. Janeway is my favorite captain.

I so immensely enjoyed it, especially the finale because of the great ending, and because of the great beginning for the next season!
