Been working on making a small couch/loveseat based on the New Yankee Workshop version of a Stickley style settle. The frame is now together, all 14 of the large mortises and tenons are tweaked to fit together nicely, and the metal chairs helped confirm the size is good.

Very pleased with this bind off on this sock. 1-1 rubbing cuff, fold the cuff down and picked every knit stitch to bind off together as I do a stretchy bind off. Rest of sock is a yarn scraps sock switching between yellow and various small balls of a variegated yarns.

The #chair is coming together.

Still need to fine tune the feet leveling but I'm liking the overall look.

Chair made out of a variety of woods, still in clamps as the arms have just been glued into place.

Got to watch some #honeybees pollinating my apple trees this weekend. Always nice seeing the bees hard at work.

#Baking a Pfeffernusse pie, had some fun with the pastry scraps and made owl shaped eyes and a smiley face in the powdered sugar.

Pie turned out lovely and delicious, went with extra crispy crust, and the spice flavor came out great, recipe from sisterpie.com/ cook book.

@brianschwarz we have a local store named "Paper Source" that has a variety of .. I guess artisan paper? The ferns in the photo are real ferns leafs that are embedded in the paper fibers the make up the sheet. This shot shows off the paper a bit better.

@karlauerbach Thanks!

Lampstuff.com has website design from the 90s but lots of fun bits for building lamps. :-)

@folklore_adam I've had very good experience with wood from them. I'm in the San Francisco bay area so ambient humidity here is 40-50% which I assume is more then AZ.

I've had them send me exotics like bubinga, domestics like white oak or maple.

I have not really seen much movement of the wood after delivery, both if I use it right away or a year after.
