"While the use of the FACE Act against leftist protest activity has gained prominence, it didn’t start under Donald Trump: The Biden administration’s DOJ indicted and later convicted abortion rights activist Gabriella Oropesa for spray-painting a number of “crisis pregnancy centers”––which pose as abortion clinics to mislead and coerce people seeking abortions into keeping their pregnancies––in the wake of the Supreme Court’s draft leak overturning Roe v. Wade.

“The Trump administration wants to completely snuff out dissent and shred our rights to free speech and to protest,” said NYCLU Senior Policy Counsel Justin Harrison in a post on the NYCLU website. “New York politicians should be racing to put out this fire, not adding fuel to it.”

Repeatedly getting Covid doesn’t build immunity, ‘it’s more like accumulating damage’

Leading vaccinologist Helen Petousis-Harris says there's not enough awareness of the impact of Covid-19 on overall health.

"What many people don't realise is that getting Covid repeatedly is not like building immunity, it's more like accumulating damage," she says.

Below the headline is a portrait of leading vaccinologist and associate professor Dr Helen Petousis-Harris, shown facing the camera against a dark background. The article discusses how repeated COVID-19 infections may cause cumulative harm rather than building lasting immunity.

The government of Taoiseach Micheál Martin are currently participating in the barbaric US/’Israeli’ assault on Iran by allowing Shannon airport to be used by US warplanes.

The Ditch report that: "A US military chartered aircraft used to transport troops stopped at Shannon last Friday before flying straight to Kuwait – a critical hub for American forces in the region – just hours before Washington-backed Israel attacked Iran."

Also, remember that the cruelty is the point.

There is no world in which police act in our best interests and work to protect us. That is not what the police are. Capitalist society will not allow for that. Furthermore, the State will defend itself from us because we are not the State. Our interests are opposed to its interests.

I have had similar ideas about other sports and games. Why not divide along weight class or ability level where it's most relevant instead of policing increasingly blurred gender lines? Why separate chess players or pool players by gender?

Tape cover art of the compilation "Stop Genocide Now! volume 1"

With the title in English and Arabic, and the subtitle "In Solidarity with Lebanon & Palestine War/Genocide Victims"

Black white and red high contract image of women in headscarves in visible distress with blood dripping from their faces and across the bottom of the image, and a border of barbed wire.A review from Maximum Rocknroll #514, March 2026, of the compilaiton cassette "Stop Genocide Now! Volume 1: In Solidartiy with Lebanon & Palestine War / Genocide Victims". Written by Eric Anderson. Text of the review follows:

The Stop Genocide Now! series has put together an impressively diverse roster across four volumes to raise funding for Lebanese and Palestinian victims directly affected by the ongoing genocide. This tape (the first volume to be put out as a physical release) features twenty bands from across the globe, spanning Brazil to Canada to Mexico to the Philippines and beyond. I recognized a couple of names here like INDIKATOR B and TÀRREGA 91’, but I was mostly introduced to these bands through this comp. There’s a lot to dig into, but standouts include raw punks MAU AGÖURO from Brazil, Dis-beaters DISANXIAN (地三鮮) from China, and ’80s USHC-inspired STILETTO from Singapore. I could go on, but this collection is best explored by the listener. Pick up a copy, discover some new bands, and support a good cause.

A short read by a guy who eventually set himself up as president for life of Ghana. Not a very revolutionary move, imo.

A very general overview of organization and tactics on what I would call a Marxist-Leninist model (he calls it socialist) against the colonial forces in Africa with Nationalist goals and Pan-Africanist goals expressed therein.

Guerilla warfare is the method espoused with a hierarchical government and military command structure to be created at the outset.

The out of date opinions on women's roles were predictable but less out of date than Western standards at the time, I think.

A bit surprising that he wasn't completely anti-settler as long as the government was majority run by those who it represented and all colonial governments and proxies were expelled/destroyed.

The cover of the Handbook of Revolutionary Warfare by Kwame Nkrumah shows a Black soldier in green camouflage carrying a rifle and backpack with canteen across a green landscape he is almost perfectly hidden in by his uniform.

One of the founding fathers of the US insults Edmund Burke and praises the French Revolution and proposes abolishing monarchy everywhere. He also suggests using taxes to pay for pensions for workers over 60 and maternity pay and relief for the poor as well as work houses for those seeking work.

He also suggests that all religions are good, praises representative democracy and constitutions but not the English Constitution which he says contains justifications for oppression. He says some things about greatly reducing the navies of the world to save money too. Very optimistic.

Funny when the authors of historical texts insult each other. Like in Capital when Marx insults Malthus, and Adam Smith, and Ricardo, and Locke. Maybe some others too. I can't recall.

The cover of Rights of Man by Thomas Paine has the title at the top in a field of black in yellow letters with the author's name underneath in white letters. There is an illustration of a castle being stormed by a man with an American flag a man with a British flag a woman with a French flag and a soldier with a red flag with a hammer and sickle on it covering the bottom 2/3 of the page.

RE: infosec.exchange/@david_chisna

the question you should be asking yourself is not “what's the best way to verify the age of every single computer user on earth”

but rather “why the fuck are we trying to verify the age of every single computer user on earth????”

and the answer to that is: fascism
stop. complying.

@VoxClamans @blogdiva @xancej Don't get me wrong, I don't mourn that horrible despot's death.

I just think the US's newest attempt at regime change in Iran might not work out so well (as in 1952-53). I've read that explosions have recently hit the houses of green leaders and leftists in Iran as well, and that's not a good sign for whatever Israel and the US have planned.
