The boundaries between reality and virtuality are disappearing, and I firmly believe we will be living dynamically on the XR continuum in the future. But being able to individualise our reality will forever change what it means to experience something together. Understanding and modelling what happens between users in XR will keep me busy for the foreseeable future...

After attending Irish HCI on Friday I realised how much I love the local chapters of @sigchi. Such a great way to meet people and hear about amazing work going on! It was also brilliantly organised by Ulster university. I felt honoured to do the closing keynote....I even got a lovely plaque! Being able to communicate our work on audience design and egocentric language production in speech interfaces to such an audience was a true honour.

Next was an engrossing discussion on human and #algorithm #collaboration with Dakuo Wang and @toby at @chiwork. Wang beautifully flips the common paradigm: design "algorithm in the loop" systems for #work, where people and our goals and processes take primacy. Highly recommend
