Starting to think about looking for software work again.
I'm a full stack developer. I've mostly worked with React and TypeScript, with a variety of backends (C#, Kotlin, Python with Django, plus a few others). Standard REST services are second nature, and I prefer to do things right and not reinvent the wheel.
I have about 7 years of professional experience, but have also built many personal projects. I've run Linux for the last 15 years and am most comfortable in a Unix-like, terminal-oriented development environment, but can adapt to other platforms.
LLM code generation and "vibe coding" are hard limits. I will not use them myself, and I burn out quickly if I have to review slop. I don't know if it is realistic to find an employer with a full-fledged, company-wide AI ban, but I need to know at very least that I won't be criticized for avoiding it myself.
I am a dual US/EU (Finnish) citizen living in Turku, Finland. I would rather not relocate, but I prefer working remotely either way, so a remote role located somewhere far away would be fine. I am open to occasional, sustainable (i.e. rail) travel if necessary.
