#Interrail hat auch meine Ausweisdaten verloren. Diese Daten hätten sie imho gar nicht haben dürfen.

Falls Interrail ein berechtigtes Interesse an personenbezogenen Tickets hat, ließen sich diese auch über eine Namensbindung realisieren. Besser und total einfach zu realisieren wären natürlich personenungebundene Tickets.

In jedem Fall war die Speicherung über meine Fahrten hinaus unnötig.

Damit darf sich nun auch der Hamburgische Datenschutzbeauftragte befassen.

That's exactly what I'm using since a few months and I am adequately satisfied (multi-languages and fast swipes are a bit weak).
My problem is really in completely uninstalling GBoard. How to do that? I am too dumb to find a way to completely remove it from my phone 😮‍💨

Und er erzählt, wie eine Reform der DSGVO seiner Meinung nach aussehen müsste, damit sie kleinere Akteure wirklich entlastet, während sie wirksamer gegen Datenkonzerne wird.

Now that it is official US policy to promote regime change in Europe and to dismantle the EU I wonder if we will take sovereignty over tech more seriously

The news that #X has suspended the #EU's advertising account on the platform after it issued a 120m EUR fine against X for breaking the #DSA is beyond hilarious.

And it might even be kind of good in the sense that politicians in Europe maybe finally realise how shitty it is to depend on such a lunatic for its public communications.

Das Land setzt in seinen Behörden auf Open-Source-Software: Inzwischen arbeiten 80 Prozent aller Arbeitsplätze außerhalb der Steuerverwaltung mit LibreOffice, fast 44.000 E-Mail-Postfächer laufen über Open-Xchange.

Das stärkt nicht nur die digitale Unabhängigkeit, sondern spart auch viel Geld: Bisher konnten schon mehr als 15 Millionen Euro an Lizenzkosten eingespart werden!
