Rapid decarbonisation of the #heating market is crucial for #climateneutrality in EU, but sales of heat pumps are slowing down as the current policy framework fails to deliver signals to manufacturers and consumers. 1/x
The German automotive industry expects to meet the EU's 2025 CO2 targets in Germany as well. Forecast: +75% registrations of battery electric cars. Industry also calls for the removal of barriers to the use of EV flexibility (especially V2G) for the electricity grid to reduce charging costs.

EVs are increasingly important for car production in Germany. The country is second (by a landslide) only to China, where half of the cars produced in 2024 were (PH)EV.
Take a look at this figure and consider the impact on the German economy of 'reversing' and returning to combustion technology.
Only a few years ago, the incentives (use of lanes / no / lower tolls) started to be reduced. Afaik, 2025 is the first year that EVs will pay the regular toll.
Electric cars now account for 42% of the Oslo car fleet. 9 out of 10 new cars sold in Norway last year were electric. Challenges remain for the electrification of vans (fewer EV sales in 2024 than in 2023) and trucks.

The elevation in CO2 emissions was mainly due to the co-firing and co-gasification of biomass in power plants stimulated by government subsidies under the SDE++ scheme.
🇳🇱: In 2020, the combustion of biomass produced 19 megatonnes of CO2 (+16% percent YoY). The share of CO2 emissions from biomass burning in total CO2 emissions on Dutch territory rose to 11.3 percent. This was still 6.8 percent in 2016.

Update: the New Green Savings Light program in the Czech Republic seems to be a great success with over 1 billion CZK in applications after just 14 days. As a result, the budget allocation has been increased to 3 billion CZK.
