Just replaced a tail light bulb in my Impala. Hopefully, it goes better than the last time I worked on a car. (Twenty years back, I replaced the spark plugs in my old Neon. Two weeks later, a real mechanic had to replace the spark plug wires!)
I was the first Bauser on the Internet.

My late mother (a Detroiter born of Appalachian parents) also insisted she was Scotch-Irish, but every immigrant I find in her family tree is from England.
For some reason, hillbillies never want to admit they're English-American.

I wore a sweater-vest to work today. It's the start of a three-day weekend and my wife is out of town, so I figured I could get a little wild.
I've got a bunch of long-neglected personal websites, actually, and one reason I haven't released those domains is that I don't want lamers like these benefitting from my meager work at building those domains' reputations.
Weird: Defunct news site ReadWriteWeb's RSS feed came back to life, but it's all news about online gambling. Apparently, somebody bought the #domainname and put up a gambling content mill?
Off Color Art Fest in #Ypsilanti isn't meant to be a "spooky art" festival, but my wife always finds the #spooky artists.
Amazon notified me that my hair dye subscription won't be delivered this month because they're out of stock. Is this my first encounter with the #Trump-damaged supply chains? Am I going to have to go grey because that idiot started a trade war with everybody on Earth?
This is like me issuing a press release announcing I'm going to stop shortening my name to "Mike." https://press.wbd.com/us/media-release/warner-bros-discovery-announces-max-become-hbo-max-summer
Proud to be the 1,886th 😎 on BackerKit for #RiffTrax Live 2025: TIMECOP! In theaters August 14 and 19!. https://rifftrax2025.backerkit.com/community_shares/6380629
#MCU movies are the only movies I still rush to see on opening weekends, because it's so hard to avoid online spoilers for them. Good thing I saw #Thunderbolts on Saturday, I guess.

With luck, #Alcatraz will reopen just in time to lock Trump up in there.
I attended #KentState for a couple of years. I post this video on Facebook every May 4 as a #neverforget reminder, but this year it feels more like a #beprepared message.
#FreeComicBookDay began as a cross-promotion for comic shops and superhero movies, so it's a little weird the #Marvel doesn't have #FCBD #Thunderbolts book.
@Cornellbox @peterhoneyman Abracadabra fixed it up good as new (and $10 under estimate). Thanks for the recommendation, you guys!
Girl Scouts disguised as Jedi Knights have set up a cookie stand next to the #FreeComicBookDay line at Vault of Midnight #AnnArbor. Escape is impossible, so I have to buy two boxes.
I still laugh out loud when people in my hometown complain about bridge problems. You live on an island, people! You should expect this shit by now!
In conclusion: I'm old, nothing is new, corporate mergers are a pain in my ass, and maybe we should have all just stuck to .com for everything.
Checking my web.com account today reminded me: In 2002, I decided (for the sake of consistency) to use the same login name for both of my domain registrar accounts.
That means my soon-to-be Network Solutions userid is... my original Network Solutions NICNAME.
My .name registration is grandfathered in, but most registrars (and webhosts, for that matter) won't support the grandfathered names. Every time I've tried to transfer it, the other registrar has rejected it. Basically, michael.bauser.name is stuck at Dotster (now web.com, soon to be Network Solutions) forever, because I decided to support a dumb Internet experiment in 2002.
