Six months since my layoff from ZeniMax/Microsoft
I spent eight years (since 2017) at ZeniMax as a web developer in IT, building and maintaining internal web apps and caring for the infrastructure that supports them.
Since the layoff I've applied to hundreds of roles, remote, hybrid, and on‑site, but have only had three interviews, two of which progressed to later stages. My resume clears the automated scans and I try to keep it polished, yet the job market has been tougher than I expected.
I'm not a master of any single technology, but I'm resourceful and enjoy digging into new problems, figuring out what's possible, coming up with solutions, and learning the skills needed to make them happen. I value teamwork and a willingness to keep improving.
While at ZeniMax I:
• Built and maintained internal web applications for multiple teams.
• Maintained the infrastructure that kept those apps running smoothly.
• Championed solutions through research and self‑learning.
What I bring:
• Full‑stack web development (frontend + backend)
• Infrastructure management (servers, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring)
• A proactive, research‑driven mindset. If it's possible, I'll learn how to make it happen.
What I'm looking for:
• Full‑time or contract positions (remote, hybrid, or on‑site) in Full-Stack Web Development, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Teams that value problem‑solving and continuous learning.
If you know of any openings, or just want to chat about opportunities, I’d really appreciate a heads up.
