Watching a show where someone was military police for the US in Iraq which is the reason they're fluent in Farsi. Can't believe I lived in Denmark for 1.5 years and my Finnish is still shit
I’ve spent the last… well the last long while creating an homage to the 1984 Macintosh! It’s 3D printed, has a laser-cut cork foot, Easter eggs like the hidden signatures from the original and more!
It’s an amazing little ~$100 machine!

@simon_on_energy @AndrzejWasowski I was taught "utilise" is for when you apply a method in a context it wasn't initially developed for. Otherwise you "use" it. For instance, I "used" a hammer to put a nail in the wall to hang a painting of a bottle of beer titled "this is not a beer". Afterwards I "utilised" the hammer to open an actual bottle of beer rewarding myself for the hard work.
Arguably, nobody actually cares about this distinction In practice though
@AndrzejWasowski I find it very funny that you specifically only complained about the frequency of dependency updates in one Haskell package yet people in the comments still became defensive about functional programming vs OOP :D touchy subject still it seems

Using new adaptive-optics techniques, researchers have created ultra-high resolution images of the Sun's corona--and the results are astonishing.
This video shows "coronal rain": loops of magnetic plasma arching out from the Sun, cooling, and flowing back down.
