I write code and I love doing it using #Ruby, #Elixir and #Emacs. I’m also really interested in #infosec / #cybersecurity.

When I have time to I play music, ride my mountain bike and do workout.

There, right at the front, just beneath the title and those gentle words that whisper who’s behind this masterpiece of a book (it’s why the lucky stiff, in case you’re still curious), you’ll find a little note from :matz: @matz addressed to :why: why:

> He started a movement.
> I miss you, why!
> まつもとゆきひろ
> matz

It’s a note that feels like a secret handshake,
or a :whyfox: fox peeking out from behind a line of code.

@karthink @ctietze I still need to see how it could be used in a real world project with many files and refactor or generate code without messing up everything. I’m sure it’s a good package. I just don’t know how to use it effectively

github.com/xenodium/dwim-shell is a gem especially when you look at github.com/xenodium/dwim-shell. So much useful things to bring powerful command-line utilities into #emacs. Plus it’s easily extensible

I’m searching for blogposts or videos of AI plugin usage in #emacs to speed up coding, tests, debugging. In a real world project not a single file with 20 loc. Anyone having a good workflow for its daily use? I tried some (gptel, aider, gptel-aibo, Elysium) and none seems to fit my workflow. I often get « garbage » where some keywords are introduced in the wrong place or multiple times (like private in ruby). Not sure how to use contexts… so if anyone has good pointers I would be thankful.

@Mesoklima The mailing list for #orgmode (lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo) and the #Emacs newsgroup (also available as a mailing list, mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/) are two good places to ask questions. You can also ask here on mastodon and on the emacs and orgmode rooms in IRC.

Using multiple displays on MacOS and you get mad because Application Switcher (cmd+tab) is moving to different displays every time you hover over the Dock?

Here's a solution:

defaults write com.apple.Dock appswitcher-all-displays -bool true
killall Dock

Your welcome!

Last week I had the opportunity to talk about #Kamal deployment for #Rails at the #Ruby Frankfurt meetup.
You can find the content on my Blog, also a link to the online presentation is there:

In summary: I am using Kamal for all my side projects and already replaced the Ansible pipeline for 1 of our largest production deployments. So, I totally can recommend version 2 of Kamal!
