#orgmode

@overflorian @libreavous @danslerush Et même « copier le presse papier » !

Meeting notes: list.orgmode.org/orgmode/87jyw

TL;DR: more whisper.el+org-capture; keyboard-driven browsers (glide); browsing web in Emacs and Org mode; captions for results of evaluation; type-checking in Elisp; dynamic block for Google Docs; live code review for LaTeX preview branch.

@ctietze I use some variant of HRM: same but on the bottom row. In , which I use for programming, SPC is my leader key, and I love it. In i use C-, M- normally. When I first tried emacs, I used evil-mode, but found it cumbersome for non-vim-y stuff, so after a while I decided to ditch it. My main usage is , and capturing whith <leader> (=SPC) was much nicer than with C-

Is there a FLOSS alternative to ? I’ve tried but it requires everything to be expressed as nested lists, and I’m looking for something that lets me organize my thoughts the way I want.

I’m currently using and , but I’m looking for an easier and hopefully collaborative alternative for team projects.

And some days are 80% #documentation, 15% meeting, and 5% other.

Among the documentation was a wrestling match with #orgmode. Apparently, exporting a source block 3 spaces (because its containing numbered list item uses a number greater than 9 and is thus two digits) screws up the #YAML inside the block. But if the block is only indented by 2 spaces (because its containing numbered list item uses a number less than 10 and thus 1 digit) it's fine. #mildlyinfuriating

PyPi does not allow README.org so I export the project README.org as markdown in my project's SCons build recipe. #ORGMode for the win!

```
readme_md = local_env.OrgmodeFile(
target=["README.md"],
source=["../../../../README.org"],
)
```

Was searching around for how to organize my #recipes in my (now) #orgMode knowledge base and came across this great post by Alex:

Is someone using Emacs for expenses and can recommend something or share their setup? I despise excel sheets and maybe Emacs can help me.

Seeing an uptick in sales these past two months of the Scrim + Captee apps for macOS, which in combo lets you easily use Org protocol with Emacs. If you’re a user of Scrim and/or Captee, then thank you and I please ask that you rate and review them on the App Store. It’s the only way I can get feedback on them as these apps do not collect user analytics by design. Thanks!

#orgmode To use strings over and over again create a new org file called macros.org and put in some macros like this:
#+macro: my-string

then use {{{my-string}}} where ever you need to use it.

does it make more sense to have it all one page per topic or create seperate pages and then link to them ? #orgmode #documentation #formatting

On the sides I have been making a small health records app that stores data in #emacs #orgmode files and attachments. No cloud, subscription, or sharing of data with any third party provider, unless you explicitly do that by sharing your files.

It was primarily for personal uses and is not yet feature complete and the UX is not optimal, but is still usable in ways.

Here is the documentation docs.lepisma.xyz/harp/

F Droid builds are available here f-droid.org/packages/xyz.lepis in case you want to try it out and give feedback.

🍄📊 Wanderland BI Demo 📈🐰

Retail Forecasting and Analytics :: in markdown

unified session context for graphnode and pipeline fences, this allows our middleware chains to share a unified context in an event sourced engine that tracks each edge as a first class member. markdown fence -> markdown fence -> markdown fence -> [your format of choice, JSON, YAML, markdown, HTML via CLI, HTTP, MCP]

<fence-form> :: submit anything, customizable forms for running any of the above
<session-output> :: capture the output of those runs, reshaped and presentable
<pipeline-diff-viewer> :: what happened? why's that not what it's supposed to be?
<pipeline-session-list> :: what can I go look at?

[it's all cached and tracked after all]

The code is in the same place. Or somewhere else. Whatever

[we're not picky, everything is addressable]

And it's capability driven for discovery. Your documents tell you (or your friends) what they can do, and then you all get down to work together.
