@letterror Does the kerning change with temperature? Really cool project. No idea they were 3D printed...

More than 11 years after its introduction, it's great to see the `font-size-adjust` property finally in Baseline: web.dev/blog/font-size-adjust

The property takes an aspect ratio as its value, which is calculated from font metrics. If you have a font installed locally, you can get the aspect ratio you need from this (slightly clunky) tool I made a few years ago: clagnut.com/sandbox/font-size-

I really dig the Kyiv Metro fonts project! Such an overlap of interests: weird and wonderful historic lettering and station design, type, students, transit, Ukrainian culture … Bonus points for the interview with Oleg Totsky, the metro historian.

Download the fonts for free but donate generously! kyivtypefoundry.com/projects/k

For those who haven’t seen it yet, Jan Gerner (Yanone) has started a fundraiser to help type designer Hasan Abu Afash and his family evacuate Gaza. Chip in if you can! gofundme.com/f/save-type-desig

Since a few years we’ve been designing and producing writing fonts, with the writing dynamics included in the font file. In case you want to know what is involved, watch our ATypI lecture. Eg: new terminology is required once type is designed in time, because how fast is a “default” speed and is there a unit to describe this? There are a lot of conventions for relations in space (eg kerning), but there is a need for similar terminology for relations in time (tuning). ☞ underware.nl/blog/2023/10/watc

@jenskutilek Best Christmas present ever! Thank you so much for doing that. We have various hacks and postprocessors for the official vb2ufo that made it somewhat useful, but this is a game changer!
