@cocaine_owlbear@retro.pizza @tulilirockz@ursal.zone one of the coolest things about Zirconium is that its images are powered by bootc, which lets you image- and even distrohop to any other bootc image with one command and a reboot. You won’t lose any of your data, and you won’t have to reinstall anything.

Being able to build custom images like that is what got me into this sorta thing in the first place! 💖

Apparently a little toy image I made with my friends @valerie_tar_gz and @bri reached 100 users at some point close to new years! @SillyChloe yes, exactly — use it the way you use shampoo! That’s co-washing.

And personally I then use conditioner again after rinsing it out, focusing on the ends.

The conditioner I really like using is expensive though, so I co-wash with a cheaper conditioner than I use for conditioning the length of the hair

@SillyChloe you’re using shampoo wayyyyy too often imo! You should use it at most once a week, but probably more like once a month. I actually have been on the same 13 oz bottle of shampoo since October 2024!

Instead, try using conditioner instead of shampoo, every day or two. I’m sure it’ll make a HUGE difference!

@SillyChloe do you co-wash and style it regularly?

I’m kind of crazy, but I have a routine I’m pretty religious about every day, and it keeps it beautiful. It looks best the day before wash day, actually!

I love my hair so fucking much. It brings me such incredible amounts of joy.
