@baekdal

@glynmoody

I think it's a rather misleading statement if one checks the sources. Not that I don't want this to happen though but there are quite a few technical issues to solve first: denmark.dk/innovation-and-desi.

All the AI chatbot stuff is fun, but it's not particularly surprising that a computer algorithm that tries to predict the most likely responses to questions after being fed the internet produces some combination of:

- making shit up but sounding super confident about it;
- Gaslighting when people call you out on your bullshit;
- Melodramatic whining about its existence.

All this tells us is that the algorithm has in fact correctly assimilated the sum total of human activity on the internet.

Meanwhile at @Vates we've been busy trying to make the transition to #FLOSS easy for #VMWare users thanks to our migration script: xen-orchestra.com/blog/xen-orc #xen #vm #virtualization

@MrChristian
Of course. I think it's also fair to remind everyone that confidence in any software does not imply the notion that no vulnerability will ever be found. Zero days are everywhere do not wait for proprietary software lobbyists:)

@MrChristian
Open Source as a set of practices and licensing model for software development offers clear benefits in terms of security over proprietary software but these do not make any Open Source software inherently more secure. Therein lies the catch.

@MrChristian
It is if this singling out is meant to suggest that Open Source is inherently more insecure than proprietary software. Conversely it would be misleading to claim that Open Source does not need to address security issues.

#Thunderbird Product Design manager @alecaddd answers a burning question with some important history, a look into the future, and some real talk.

Some of these talking points might be divisive. They might touch a nerve. But we believe in being transparent and open about both our past and our future.

🇬🇧 According to today's Council position on #eID, EU governments want a unique personal identification number or "citizen number" across Europe that can be used to record and monitor our digital lives. No right to decentralized data storage in your device and introduction of insecure browser certificates. This is not acceptable!

Great write up here on using XO proxies with Xen Orchestra Appliance. it's entirely possible to use XCP-ng hosts at any number of sites while keeping a single "central" XOA to "Rule Them All" All done without any special "Overlay Networks" and built on solid and secure tooling.

The innovation going into this platform from the team at @vates with @xenorchestra Orchestra and @xcpng is not being limited to "Can we compete with other closed source virtualization platforms?" but thinking much broader about better ways to solve the challengea of managing virtual hosts & servers at scale.
