In the ☀️ period from 14 July to 10 August 2025 two direct train pairs will be provided between 🇸🇪 and 🇳🇴 via and . Two existing train pairs Oslo <> Göteborg will be extended.

Unlike the Stockholm <> Oslo services a reservation is not required. The new connections are also intended for international travellers from/to 🇩🇰 and 🇩🇪.

The new train pair will allow a new last evening departure from Atocha at 18:09 to Badajoz daily except Saturdays and a new first morning departure from Badajoz at 6:36 on Mondays to Fridays.

It will run via with a turn-back - the station will be served again by a long-distance train after a very long time.

Good news for the 🇪🇸 - line: from 9 June a 3rd train pair will be introduced running 6x per week. For the first time the avoider line in will be used.

Slight improvements also for 🇵🇹 🇪🇸 journeys: the evening train Badajoz - Madrid will run 5 min later providing a little more transfer time. On Saturdays a new departure from Badajoz at 18:10 will be introduced allowing a quite safe transfer from 🇵🇹.

Thanks to 's full Schengen accession, the number of train services between 🇭🇺 and 🇷🇴 has been significantly increased from 12 May 2025. Instead of only two now seven daily international train pairs are operated, most of them through services from/to .

Moreover, the new timetable shows much shorter stops in Kötegyán, now 5-10 min rather than 20-30 min before due to the border controls.

Oha. Nach der Linie C3 in Bilbao, verkehrt seit heute nun auch die C3 in in einem symmetrischen Halbstundentakt (am WE alle 60 Min), wenn auch wegen Bauarbeiten nur im kurzen Abschnitt Valencia Font de Sant Lluís <> . Bahnt sich da etwa langsam ein Paradigmenwechsel in 🇪🇸 an? 😮

Bisher ging die Linie durch bis Valencia Nord, fuhr jedoch nur im 45 Min-Takt, am Wochenende sogar im 75 Min-Takt.

Now it seems to be fixed: the reopening of the 🇫🇷 railway line (branch line of the Toulouse-Bayonne line) is scheduled for 22 June 2025, ten years after its suspension.

So. @wrzlbrnft hat mich ja mit seinem dazu motiviert einen Fahrplan für die spanischen LAV-Strecken zu erstellen. Dort fahren ja eigentlich kaum Züge wie es heißt, aber wenn man sie dann alle in eine Tabelle bringen muss, ist es doch nicht so wenig Arbeit.

Irgendwann ist dann mal der Punkt da, wo man merkt, es geht nicht fehlerfrei und die Tabelle muss raus.

Ahora bien, hier eine Beta-Version der Normalspur-LAVs:

Two new train pairs between 🇵🇱 and 🇩🇪 via Węgliniec are announced for the timetable 2026, one of them extended from/to .

Other than the former Interregio trains between Dresden and Wrocław via Görlitz (running until 2004), the new EC services shall run instead via the 🇵🇱 - 🇩🇪 line currently only used by freight trains. Thus Dresden won't be served directly, but can be reached via Ruhland.

From tomorrow a 2nd direct service will run from 🇪🇸 to (on Saturdays only to Barcelona). The existing services 2091 Sevilla - Madrid and 3123 Madrid - Figueres will be merged to the new AVE 2591.

It will be half an hour faster than the AVE 2561 already introduced 2 weeks ago thanks to a shorter stop at Atocha and less stops in total. However, again it's only a 'half' train pair - there is still no direct return service from Figueres to Sevilla.

The popular 🇭🇷 line will be served by additional regional trains:

On 7 April HŽPP has introduced a new train pair between Split and running on workdays in the afternoon and filling a gap of five hours.

And from 12 May another two train pairs will be added between Split and .

Heute startet nun auch wieder die Saison des internationalen Fahrradzuges auf der slowenischen Drautalbahn zwischen 🇸🇮 und 🇦🇹.

Die beiden Zugpaare 4466-4467 und 4468-4479 verkehren an Samstagen von Mitte Juni bis Ende August, bis dahin zusätzlich an einzelnen Tagen.

Auch wenn das Bild etwas anderes vermuten lässt, müsste wieder ein SŽ 610 FLIRT zum Einsatz kommen.

On 7 April 2025 the metre-gauge section between 🇪🇸 and of the C6 line ( Oviedo) has been reopened after 8 months of closure. Therefore, the direct regional trains between and run through again without a rail replacement service.

The extension is doubtless an improvement for the city of Antequera, since the Santa Ana station is located far away from any civilisation. It also facilitates journeys between Granada and Algeciras making transfers easier.

However, it seems quite luxurious to build a new track branch with additional platforms for three daily broad gauge train pairs, despite the old station is located only 200m away.

On 23 April a 16 km broad-gauge section will be reactivated for passenger transport: the three Media Distancia train pairs between 🇪🇸 and Santa Ana will be extended to the inner-city of Antequera.

However, not to "Antequera Ciudad" (the former broad-gauge station), but to the new station "Antequera AV" that was opened two years ago and got recently new platforms for broad gauge tracks.
