Quarkus is fast and light, so we intuitively felt it *had* to have a low carbon footprint. But intuition is dangerous in carbon optimisation, just like it is in perf optimisation. So we didnβt guess, we measured.
And β
- Quarkus uses 2-3 x less carbon π

@edeandrea About Redis, this version provides support for almost everything provided by the #redis stack. Three groups are still missing: search (already done), time series and auto-suggest. Who knew that redis can replace almost everything π€ͺ

Quarkus http://2.14.0.Final was released today. Among other things, it upgrades Jandex to version 3, introduces new Redis commands in the Redis extension and add support for caching annotations to the Infinispan Client extension. https://quarkus.io/blog/quarkus-2-14-0-final-released/

We released Quarkus http://2.13.4.Final. It is a maintenance release for our 2.13 release train. We exceptionally upgraded to GraalVM/Mandrel 22.3, which is a LTS version. Also, GraalVM/Mandrel 22.2 is the minimum version to build native executables. https://quarkus.io/blog/quarkus-2-13-4-final-released/
