Sometimes I forget that #OpenStreetMap doesn’t search for venues near your location so sometimes I enter „café“ and it zooms all the way across the planet to the village of cafe in Argentina or something.

When I was Teeny Selenie it blew my tiny mind when I noticed the map for World 1 in Super Mario Bros 3 on the back of the box didn't match the map in the actual game!

The parallax issue I was thinking of is related to what you said about 2D translation to make the character stay in place. Were you talking about moving the whole frame in 2D? The camera? The character?

The latter two options would change the relation of the character and the environment 🤔

I can't believe we're still having to say this in 2025, but would people *please* scroll back to the top of a website when they're finished reading, so it's ready for the next person. We've even got buttons at the bottom to do it all in one go, it's not 1994 any more.

@yantor3d I thought the only issue when animating on 2s and the camera on 1s was motion blur. I didn‘t know that there’s screen-space translation. Wouldn’t that cause parallax issues?
I need to go through some clips frame by frame to see how it’s done.
