I recorded the RF-Spectrum from 60MHz to 1100MHz in 125KHz steps for 24 hours using a rtl-sdr dongle and rtl_power. I think the big bars in the middle (490MHz - 820MHz) are DVB-T2 and around 930MHz and 955MHz is GSM. On the left around 100MHz is of course FM-Radio.
I really want to see how Wifi around 2.4GHz looks but unfortunately my sdr dongle only goes up to ~1.2GHz :( #sdr

Hintergrund ist: wir wurden illegal 7h von Polizei festgehalten und gehindert, auf die genehmigte Demonstration zu kommen. Wir haben dann eine Pinkelpause der Polizei Sachsen genutzt und sind losgefahren. Die technologische Aufrüstung der demokratischen Freiheitsrechte ergibt also durchaus Sinn.

New version of my visualisation of world power networks mapped on OpenStreetMap, with data from today.

I've added power plants to this iteration - although these are covered by power lines in denser areas, I think they give a bit more detail in darker areas.

Rendered from 38.1 million power lines and 85,000 power plants in 86 seconds using datashader.
