Some records really do change your life when you hear them, and this was one for me. That voice with that groove was unlike anything that came before, and is still truly unique.
When The Specials reformed I got to see a band that I'd loved when I was way too young to get into gigs, and finally be able to dance to their truly awesome songbook. I don't think I've ever been happier in a gig crowd, singing along to every word, memorised years before.
