The debate about QTs is interesting because as far as I tell, all sides are correct.

• QTs let you introduce a topic to your followers w/ tailored commentary (Black Twitter is the best at this)

• They bring fame & attention to the worst people in the world

• They cause dogpiles

• They’re a great format for humor, which 🦣 needs more of

• They are often performative dunking “look at this loser”

• They let you address a side issue or add a different perspective w/o derailing the primary convo

I'm seeing commentary on how much users are annoyed by posts sharing 🐦 content, & that it's a good way to get a block. The ones I've clicked into have been blanket statements. I get not bringing some stuff over.

My specific concern: for the disabled community, sharing the expertise + insights + intel of those still on 🐦 can be critical info.

How does our disabled crew feel about this? Best practices?

So, the last few months, well, almost a year on Twitter were awful. Left for weeks at a time twice after attacks from others, a constant drumbeat of trolls to smack down. Here? Having conversations, meeting new people, and not a lot of conflict. No Pollyanna here, but have to say this is a nice place to be.
