New Year shower thought:

Do you know what's an underrated #journaling app? Signal. (Yes, the messenger.)

What do you expect from one?

- Timestamped, searchable entries
- Basic formatting
- Media attachments
- Privacy with encryption
- Simple, polished interface

Signal's Note to Self option has all of that.

What alternatives are worth considering?
And are the pipelines available well tuned and compatible to build flatpacks and snaps?
