5/5 Bottom line: To maintain price stability, central banks might need to start pulling money out of the economy. And unless we hit a major crisis causing unemployment to spike, don't expect to see those zero interest rates again anytime soon. 🏦 #InterestRates #EconomicOutlook
4/5 Think about it: every extra dollar in a system flushed with cash could now mean real inflation. We've been used to adding money to match our growing economy, but what happens when that growth slows or reverses? 🤔 #EconomicTheory #InflationConcerns
3/5 Here's a twist though – with populations in key economies now aging and shrinking, the whole dynamic's changing. We're looking at a labor shortage and a smaller consumer base. Basically, our economic base along with global population would be hitting their peaks in this decade and then trend downward. 📉 #Demographics #LaborMarket
2/5 As our global economy expanded, so did the money supply. Central banks kept policies loose, but interestingly, we didn't see crazy inflation rates. Why? Well, the sheer scale of economic activities and faster money cycles played a big role. Every dollar added matched a new entrant to the labour market💰#Inflation #CentralBanking
1/5 Been thinking about how falling interest rates over the last 30 years were tied to our growing economic base. We've seen massive labor force additions from across the world, especially from places like India and China, alongside big leaps in productivity. 💹 #EconomicGrowth #MonetaryPolicy
@publicvoit Du hast Glück gehabt!
@tero I believe that as long as there are wars, poverty, hunger, illiteracy in this world, you'd always have a job.

@BM_Visser Not only Energy taxes, but the price of Energy itself has to be harmonised. Otherwise the idea of one market would implode.
Due to (large) variations in energy taxation, small and medium companies in the EU face very different energy bills.
In this (standard) example, in 2023, a Dutch SMC pays €8000 more than an identical Belgium SMC on the other side of the border.
Wouldn't it be fair if energy taxation is harmonized in the EU?
Pursuing criminal charges against Zlib's founders seems senseless. The issue has grown beyond their individual control, and imprisoning them would be futile. Zlib has evolved into a global entity, similar to The Pirate Bay (TPB), and stands as a symbol of unrestricted access to knowledge.
Resistance is futile.
I do not see Zlib as a threat to the developed world. A €12 novel, which is an affordable luxury in some countries, represents 12 days' worth of food in regions of Bihar. Despite the widespread digitization and free internet access, these children lack free access to knowledge, a disparity most acute in the developing world. Therefore, while publishers in North America and Europe seek profits, I urge them to consider the unique circumstances in other parts of the world, free from judgment.
Thousands of children and adolescents in India and other developing countries urgently need free access to knowledge. In this context, the role of #Zlib, a champion of unfettered access to information, cannot be overstated.
Growing up in the suburbs of India, I encountered the high cost of books, which were so expensive that my parents struggled to afford them. I vividly recall how a single Class 8 Biology textbook equated to the cost of eight days' worth of food. As a result, I often failed exams, relying primarily on photocopies or school notes, which themselves were costly. Today, I am fortunate to have a job and can buy books when possible, but my story is not unique.

Here's the secret list - lots of tech, lots of law enforcement, hardly any EU experts:
