May 19: Is there a creative habit-building method you swear by?
I try to avoid developing habits. It keeps things fresh and unpredictable.

May 15. “The past is a foreign country.”
I know. I used to live there.
What facets of your work do you hope remain intelligible to future readers?
I aim to deliver timeless writing that will resonate through the ages.
May 14: How do you use cyclic structures in your work?
I try not to. I prefer to show progression from point to point.
May 13. Does alienation feature in your work? Give an example.
Quite the opposite, actually. A large part of Water Against Chaos is about finding a place to belong.
May 12. In what ways does weather or season influence how and what you write?
Weather and seasons have been major and minor plot elements. My characters are powerful, but not so much that they aren't affected by weather and seasons.
May 9. Have you ever realised you’d included an unintended shibboleth in your own work?
If I correctly understand the meaning of the term, my work is full of shibboleths, most of which are intentional. Either you get them or they are invisible.
8. Give an example of a project you’ve had to give up on.
I had to give up on #EpigraphCoffeeClub. I don't have time to collect all of your great quotations.

My first book was semi-autobiographical. But the issue isn't the writing, it's me.
I didn't age well.
