A few photos from the TRANARCHY event from Saturday for the launch of issue 5, which I had submitted a piece.
This was in aid of raising money for Trans Leeds, hosted by Trans Muted
It was a fantastic turn out & an utter pleasure to do some of my poetry & spoken word.
I was absolutely floored by the amount of support I personally got by people who came just to see me.
For that I am incredibly grateful for that support network I have amassed from so many people from so many backgrounds
I read some anti-monarchy, self reflective, community & political poetry, with smatterings of comedy.
Whilst I will stand by my community & speak out against hate & do all I can to help.
I will approach the subjects that our community is not perfect & we should look at ourselves a bit further. I know many don’t want to do that but we should always have a discussion about these things, even if that means being blunt & bringing up harsh truths.
I, much like everyone else, is not perfect.
There is always something to learn & how we as people can & should do better
I look forward to more events this year & spewing forth my musings

We want to say about CELLAR DOOR, our upcoming album
We planned a release on CD, but due to things out of our control, such as the cost of living crisis, we've decided to abandon that course of action
So we made a final call & put a stop to trying to get it done.
Maybe in the future
A shame, as we wanted a physical copy of our 2+ year journey we've been on
It will be released via digital means through Bandcamp & other services
We have been silent recently
But we have been really busy finishing [yes it’s coming to an end finally] off CELLAR DOOR, our next album. We plan to have it ready & released by the 10th January

After months upon months waiting for an answer from a person we were working with, they proved to be out of the realm of doing what we needed, which was distribution to other platforms.
So we went it alone & sorted it ourselves
Expect to see ERUERS in many online stores & streaming services very soon.
The services we will NOT be appearing on: Spotify, YouTube/Google, Facebook/Instagram/Meta & Amazon
Here's some short bullet-points:
• Spotify - Continues to undermine artists & the CEO "donated" millions to the military
• YouTube/Google - Continue to profit from anti-gay & transphobic adverts they play on their platform & much like Spotify, treat creators like cattle. Google has even threatened entire countries [Australia as an example] with taking away the search engine because journalists asked for royalties as Google were taking news articles from them & not crediting
• Amazon - They carry on throttling businesses by buying them outright, undercutting small businesses & continue to treat staff like cattle to the slaughter. I doubt the recent price increase of Prime will go to workers in a fair way. They also are against unions & are complete dicks to people who want a fair work area
• Meta/Facebook/Instagram - I mean, there is not much to say, it's Meta. A place that has continually had peoples vital information stolen, has awful business practices & is generally terrible. We could have a bigger list, but, it's Meta
If these companies change, then we will reconsider. But we choose to keep this stance against these companies & others should think as well.
If other companies end up being the same, we will take them away as well. But these have been the big players of where we don't want to be.
Sure, it cuts off a portion of people to discover us, but we have to draw a line in the sand somewhere

The reasons why we have chosen to not use these services are:
• Spotifys CEO gave millions for military use & takes advantage of artists
• Amazon continues to pay employees like shit, even with ridiculous profits
• YouTube/Google still continue after so many years, show & profit from anti-gay & transphobic adverts
This is a political stance, thats true. But we have to draw a line in the sand somewhere. Sure it cuts us off from many people to listen to our music. But we need to make some stance
We have been waiting on multiple places to sell our music for many months, & they have proven to be somewhat annoying, since we are small fry compared to many other artists.
We were working with someone to help, but even they proved bad at what they do
So were going with a service to get our music out, finally, after months of waiting
Expect to see our music in many online streaming services & stores soon.
Except Youtube/Google, Amazon & Spotify & Meta
