No, it was not.
#Israel’s attack is understandable. Abandoned by #Russia, their proxies destroyed, Iran was finally cornered. But a cornered extremist nation with a nuclear bomb is one likely to use it—and that could never have been permitted.
Getting the US offensively engaged in the conflict, however, is an act of political trophy-taking with minimal strategic value. Stupid, wasteful, and dangerous.
