It's hurricane season down here in Florida, so we have a stockpile of gas on hand for our generator. If you have something similar, now would be a good time to top off your supply before the price rises dramatically.

I expect the average cost of gas in the US will be close to $4/gallon by this time next week.

Pro tip : Not to sound alarmist here, but if you drive an internal combustion engine vehicle, you might wanna go out and fill up your gas tank.

I wiped my laptop down to bare metal before I recently installed a new OS.

Part of that process was choosing which data to back up and preserve.

After much consideration, I decided to delete my meme stash. The time had come. I just don't need that baggage and it's not how I interact online any more.

I feel liberated. It's nice to have a clean PC again.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy a good meme. I'm just not collecting them any more and don't use them much myself.

@fortyseven _ I stole it and slightly changed it. I originally saw someone (can't recall who) call him "Pumpkin Spice Palpatine", which was hilarious, but seemed a little cumbersome. So I appropriated it and dropped the spice. Besides, people love pumpkin spice a lot more than the orange rapist.

@fishidwardrobe You will need to vent it. I live in a small caravan in Florida and use a portable AC unit. You will need to have a way to vent it. It doesn't necessarily have to be a window though. We vented our's through a hole in the wall that was previously used for the propane heater we removed. You can run a long outlet hose from the AC unit to the nearest window or hole in the wall. Barring that, make a hole.

You want a condensing unit. Evaporative is just a wet fan.
