@bontchev Isn't that a whole genre? Lost comes to mind. Also Heroes.
Check out my latest CSO piece, which examines how CISOs can more effectively talk about the cost of a cyber incident to the board and C-suite.

Friends, today is the day before Thanksgiving here in the US. Friday is also a holiday for many people here so that we have the day off to go buy stuff that looks like it is on sale but really isn't.
What does that mean to you? It means that it is time. Time to push that code to production. Push it like it's never been pushed before. Use all the git flags.
Testing is for people who are not confident in their abilities, and we don't have time for that sort of negativity around here.
Today is your day.
Tomorrow, and beyond? That is ops problem.
Hey Y'all, I'm hiring in Australia for a cyber security risk engineer. What's a risk engineer you say? Basically the subject matter experts on the cyber insurance side. We help folks make good infosec decisions. If you're interested or know someone, head to https://www.linkedin.com/posts/gabriel-bassett_hey-yall-do-you-have-any-infosec-folks-activity-7257538232681213952-1-H5 #hiring #jobs #infosec
If there is a RCE vulnerability in CUPS, would someone mind configuring mine for duplex printing, please?
We've got a 18+ that germinated from seed sent to us by @jblue (who I still need to reimburse for shipping).
Keep them in a ziplock with damp sawdust/papertowel/rag in the fridge. We kept ours at the very bottom of the lowest drawer for several months, then shoved them in leftover potting soil / compost mix.
Same technique for persimmon.
I'm going to prove a point and you're going to help me.
If you're a member of the information security and/or cybersecurity profession, and you have clicked on a phish in the last, say, five years, share this post. If you have not, star this post.
Someone's trying to say that you can punish people out of clicking on scam links and I say that not only can you NOT prevent phishing by punishing people, but the most skilled #infosec and #cybersecurity people in the world can and do get phished as well.
If you're not interested, but know someone, please encourage them! We serve a diverse and global community and so are open toa wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
The position isn't posted yet, but I wanted to get the word out in case anyone wanted to chat about it in Las Vegas next week. I'll be there Sunday to Sunday. See you then!
Hey y'all, I'm hashtag#hiring in Australia! It's a combination architect, engineer, GRC role. Looking for good communication skills and ability to handle complexity and uncertainty. Fifteen years ago today, a group of hackers and security pros got together and made a little thing happen, the first ever BSides, in Las Vegas. @BSidesLV
Things took off from there.
The next BSides on the event calendar is BSides Las Vegas, and it will be event number 1002.

Thoughts: Great tool for teaching #randomization based inference (and #NHST), by making hypothesis testing explicit.

LLMs are tools for generating consensus-conforming phrases in the language implied by their training data.
That language is not, for example, normative English (and it probably couldn't be). Imagine a language that includes slang and shifting between multiple dialects and discrete languages.
It's very hard to make a natural language where mathematically incorrect statements are also ungrammatical according to consensus grammar (i.e., "feel wrong" when written).
