"Hey the bird room seems cooler lately."

"Uhhh, I cleaned up our server/spaceheater to make it run a little less sweaty."

"Oh."

and that is why we have `/etc/systemd/system/spaceheater.service`

@padcrafting I get it, but introducing different behavior and mechanical limits depending on the stroke direction sounds like no fun at all.

@penguin42 unless you want to write a userspace driver for a custom HID class. Or maybe the kernel has some support for Bulk Display Protocol HID class? There are a lot of wacky classes in the spec.

@penguin42 I hadn't realized ESP32s could be USB hosts. Good to know.

It oozes black tar? ink? It's leaking out from the tank, pooling on thee floor. First page of the The Employees by Olga Ravn.

Wow the latest changelog for zed is exciting.

Kinda sad to see them bailing on their custom renderer, I thought it was neat. But if they're able to make it straddle gpui and wgpu today, maybe it won't be so hard to follow suit with my project.

A new blog post at agmlego.com/posts/blog/the-pro -- The Production Line: The Production Line
Sometimes the biggest challenge of integration is just getting production to run.
You might think that the purpose of a production line is to run, to make product.
This is a lie. The purpose of the system is what it does, and what it does is rarely if ev #productionline #philosophy #work

I used to keep track of shared expenses regular style, with a google sheet.

Later, a jank bash script a friend wrote that patched a file in a git repo...

that became a jank web app...

Now reincarnating it once again with an anonymous invite-based auth scheme.

The front end is static.

The back end is a server and an IdP.

Not sure if the room state is intended to be abused like this?

Kinda bummed though because it turns out matrix e2e encryption doesn't cover room state.

Split screen showing three different user's sessions of an expense sharing webapp. screenshot showing the page gutters scattered with pizza coins.
