@gryzor Thanks, definitely a typo! I had so many headaches (and that issue with reproducible builds was the straw which broke the camel's back).

When working on Kotlin Multiplatform apps there are several choices for dependency injection but not all offer the same developer experience. Have a look at my latest blog post to know about what alternatives I used in Raccoon apps and why!

How can you build modern, cross-platform applications that can keep pace with the rapidly evolving ecosystem of the Fediverse (Mastodon, Lemmy, Friendica, etc.)?
Kotlin and Compose Multiplatform may be an interesting answer! Check out my blog post and stay tuned for more considerations stemming from my experience during the last 2 years maintaining the Raccoon apps.

@raccoonforfriendicaapp version 0.4.1 has been finally released! I was waiting to fix a couple of old issues but I realized I was keeping people waiting too much since almost 2 months had passed since the previous stable version.
If you were on the latest beta, the only new feature is the possibility to see in every timeline the "source platform" each post is coming from (Friendica, Mastodon, Lemmy, Misskey/Sharkey, Pleroma/Akkoma, Kbin/Mbin, WordPress, GNU Social, Pixelfed, Peertube, GoToSocial, Diaspora, generic ActivityPub and more are coming).
If you were using 0.4.0 there are a ton of improvements, the most important of which are:
This version is also available in the production track on Google Play, so you don't have to participate in the beta program any more to get it.
Let me know what you think about it, enjoy your weekend and as always #livefasteattrash

When I opened up Lemmy this morning I could not believe my eyes. The top story was a headline from Forbes stating:
« ‘Open Source And Ethical’ TikTok, WhatsApp And Instagram Alternatives Could Transform Social Media ».
The article mostly focused on #Pixelfed and did a fairly good job explaining how #ActivityPub works. But they spelled #Mastodon « Mastadon » over and over again with no links to it. Yikes.
B for the effort, but please editors do better!

The Lemmy app is far from perfect, and that user has a point in his criticism (2/3 points are real issues, 1 of which seems related to an older version though, while the third one is due to not reading the manual). I only removed the comments where they were mad at other innocent users.
I really don't know what was wrong with this guy... they even left troll-like replies to other people posts in the community, correcting grammar mistakes or just flaming around. I rarely moderate anything but to keep the place nice I had to remove something.
