I guess #Mozilla will notice only when they are done for that the #privacy and #FOSS loving crowd, who has been spreading the word and deploying #Firefox for decades, is pretty much the only reason why their browser is still alive and still (and just barely) relevant at this point.
Mozilla: Please, stop following the #AI way! You are about to lose the last users still acting as multiplicators — those who choose Firefox because of its privacy features and #FreeSoftware nature. Nobody will give a damn about your product if turns up being just another browser with intransparent corpo AI crap just like #Chrome, #Edge and whatever the rest comes up with.
Turn this ship around and focus more on user donations, privacy features and a free web. That is why I picked Firefox when it released and this is what we desperately need today. At this point I don't think you have many chances left. 😞
It's impressive how @mozilla's new CEO seems hell-bent on reducing market share some more with his express goal being to turn #Firefox into a "modern #AI browser" and a broader ecosystem beyond just a browser. For an organization with such an awesome mission, it sure is hard for them to not fuck things up for 20 minutes.

For a long time, #GitHub was the dominant hosting platform for #FOSS (#OpenSource and #FreeSoftware), and #Bitbucket tried to compete with them.
Looks like both companies are determined to end this era:
First, GitHub started shoving all this AI crap down people's throats. Realizing they probably haven't alienated *everyone* in the FOSS community yet, they now decided to charge money for CI/CD even if you run the build runner on your own machine.

Meanwhile, #Atlassian gets creative as well: Bitbucket will no longer support forking repos to other projects, and this prevents outsiders from contributing easily to projects. They say the change helps with enterprise features like data residency. That may be true, but I say it also means "goodbye, FOSS".
I guess @Codeberg and other non-commercial #Forge|s should start preparing for a large influx of FOSS projects that flee from these #enshittification platforms.

Licensing question that came to mind.
Say there is a web application licensed under AGPL and exposing an HTTP API. Say someone builds a client to consume such API. Should the client have a license compatible with AGPL, or is it allowed to use a proprietary license?
Final users would not interact with the client but would consume data produced by it, in case it's relevant.
