And another great collab finalizing the SHO image of the Cygnus Wall.

Tried to not over process the image by not exaggerating sharpness and contrast / dark structure enhancement since the image shows enough details already.

Hope you like it! Clear skies!

We did another O-III run on the Crescent Nebula concluding the HOO image. Total amount of 22h 35m of data. Let me know what you think. Did I over process it?

Something I've been working on with remote data: a 3-panel mosaic of the Andromeda Galaxy. Integration now includes reds and luminance data but only used luminance for this image. Getting used to the mosaics and core brightness reduction workflow for now.

@malcircuit awesome job, keep in mind for a reference image it's best to use the H-alfa since this one mostly has the best SNR. All other channels match against this one :)

@malcircuit awesome details and colors :) Are you processing the data in PixInsight? Of so, try LinearFit for matching the RGB channels. What astro gear are you using?

Another work in progress: the Crescent Nebula (NGC6888). This data is also captured remotely in Romania under beautiful Bortle 3 skies. This H-alfa data consists of about 10h 15m of integration in total. Oxygen-3 is also captured but will process it into HOO first. πŸ™‚ Captured using an ASI533MM Pro and Askar 71F.

Some work in progress on the Cygnus Wall (NGC 7000). Data was captured remotely by my astrophotography buddy Joep in Romania under beautiful Bortle 3 skies. 5h 50m of H-alpha frames, each 300s using ASI533MM Pro and Askar 71F.

@BasicAppleGuy great advice! Went for the EarPods as well together with the minijack to usb-c connector. Extra bonus: you can grab that 'old' iPod and listen to your old music collection again! ❀️

@todd Hi @ivory , thanks for replying that quick. :) I've attached the process where I quit the app completely two times. Maybe it has to do with the demo mode?

About the columns: I liked how Tweetbot worked where dragging created columns. Just saying ;)

And another recent one, my first collab with a collegae astrophotographer.

Captured under Bortle class 3 skies using remote observatory data in collaboration with Joep van der Heiden. This project totals a whopping 25 hours of integration, combining broadband (LRGB) and narrowband (5 nm HΞ±) to reveal the galaxy’s sweeping spiral arms and faint outer halo.

This is the heart of the Heart Nebula: Melotte 15 ❀️. This deep exposure combines narrowband data (SHO) with broadband (RGB) star data. The final integration time adds up to 17h 20m!

The RGB stars were captured separately on the last night to prevent stars from becoming purple in the calibration process.
