as i get older i find myself trying to avoid "sad" media because i'm just not strong enough to stomach that on my downtime anymore. like, if i have a few hours to relax why the fuck would i spend it on more of The Same Horrors?

but idk. i really like the kind of sad the bear makes me feel. the kind of sad that makes me want to hug people instead of turn inward. bittersweet and hopeful is such a good vibe. this is probably why i like the cartoons i like so much. smthn smthn...the kind of media meant to teach kids that life can be so difficult but it's worth going through because people around you can be so wonderful.
