"...and surely they did a bit research and testing.." puts too much faith in the company who, again, provide ZERO cited sources for their claims within the website.
Reviewers in the individual scale do not have the power of a team of researchers who are able to do studies and publish their findings for peer review.
The place to start is with scientific, objective research, not blindly selling a product with baseless claims.
I am speaking purely from objective fact here. You have a device that creates an incredibly flammable element. Said device is battery powered and all is within close vicinity of a vessel of water.
Again speaking from objective fact, the purported health benefits of HRW are in the earliest stages of research and as such, there's minimal proof of the claims made on Echo's website.
You're welcome to review things as you wish, but facts are facts.
@gummibunny
Looks fancy but in practise... is essentially useless beyond being a cool looking water bottle.
I'd urge you to read my replies in this thread. I provide a source from PubMed.

$300 for some cool LEDs and a potential bomb is not worth it imo.
I see absolutely zero cited studies or papers within that page. They make plenty of claims, but that tells me zero actual scientific information regarding the validity of such a product.
Doing my own research has shown that there is no inherent, provable benefit to consuming additional hydrogen via the means of HRW. (Hydrogen-rich-water)
The products own page would be the one place I'd hope for scientific papers to be cited and shown but... nada. Worrisome.
As per: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10816294/
"Although preliminary results in clinical trials and studies are encouraging, further research with larger sample sizes and rigorous methodologies is needed to substantiate these findings.
Current research needs to fully explain the mechanisms behind the potential benefits of hydrogen-rich water."
Meaning... yeah, there's no real backing evidence to support any reason to buy this bottle... or any hydrogen water.
Soooo... is there any scientific merit to consuming additional hydrogen?
Plus... I'd love to pay $300 for a literal hydrogen bomb maker... on the go! Seriously, did no one think it through that you're bringing a device with you, that is intended to create and push into solution, literal hydrogen gas which is notoriously explosive.
Pair that with a battery inside your water bottle... leave it running or have some malfunction, you're just asking for a fireball in your bag.
Just an update. The #HFHosting / #HaveFreedomHosting socials are changing. We're dropping #Facebook and moving over to #Bluesky -- We considered Mastodon but its not what we need for our social media outreach.
That being said, if you wish to follow us on BSky, you can do so now.

<3 Thanks.
Ya know… the new #VikingBerry #Monster is delcious. Definitely get the lingonberry hints!

Thread 1 of 6🧵 ...
It is with a very heavy heart that @beardedtechguy and @cliffwade are having to make this announcement, however, it's something that needs to be done. Unfortunately we are going to need to shut down AllThingsTech.social, the Mastodon instance and the blog.
There are several reasons for this, but the biggest reason is the fact that we simply don't have the funds to continue paying the server fees associated with it any longer. (continued...)
@ProfessorLoki Absolutely not alone. I feel bad for the animals and wildlife more than anything.
@ProfessorLoki I saw on YouTube that the most affluent areas are burning, and I just went "Oh no, anyway..."
I propose we replace semantic versioning with pride versioning
I need more friends in the #Columbus area but man.. it's really difficult to find people who aren't just really weird especially in the inner city...
@ProfessorLoki It's definitely a mix of both! Some things are simply on a need-to-know basis and will get sugar coated for my own well-being. Other stuff... it all gets put out there.
@courtcan I will respond to this threat with 9mm, without hesitation.
