This means that other projects like #BirdMakeup are living on borrowed time right now.

Of course, the projects can still, in theory, use real Twitter accounts, but the reliability is unclear (a cat & mouse chase) while exposing account/instance owners to legal repercussions (due to ToS).

I'm not new to the Fediverse, actually. I had a Firefish account on stop.voring.me. However, that instance disappeared out of the blue last month because of some unexplainable problems. So as a result of that, my account on that instance was abruptly flushed as well. I had to create a new one from scratch, and since Misskey looks promising, I gave it a try.

I'm very much looking forward to meeting with like-minded and open-minded folks on the Fediverse!
