China would see weakness and would attack not only Taiwan but wider Indo-Pacific area. There is no scenario where crushing Russia would spiral out of control.

YES, it is completely unreasonable for Putin to have concerns about NATO because before invasion even majority of Ukrainians didn't want to join NATO and nobody in the west would even contemplate that.

And even if it was true, why then Putin has no issues about Finland and Sweden joining? I can tell you why. Because he does not give a sh*t about NATO. He wanted to occupy, exterminate Ukrainians. Period. He wrote that in summer of 2021 in his article.

There are no bases, no military targets. It’s the city downtown, with shops, residential buildings, and a square. Pure act of terror. The missile hit top floors of a 9-floor residential building, later part of the building collapsed. As of now it is reported that 1 person is killed, 9 wounded, including 7-mo baby. … It’s far not the first act of russian terror, and there is no ground to believe that it’s the last. But still the U.S. government does not allow to attack military air bases in Russia with the weapons U.S. provides. These are the air bases from where dozens of russian military planes daily depart to attack Ukrainian cities. Several retaliatory attack with American ATACAMS of these bases would banish russian military aviation further from Ukrainian borders, making such terrorist attacks on Ukrainian cities less probable. Ukraine must have the right to fight back with the weapons provided by its allies!
